TSAS Wearable Art Competition & Exhibition 2024

Sexual Violence Awareness Month (SVAM) is held during October each year to:

* Raise community awareness about sexual violence
* Promote the support options available to people affected by sexual assault and sexual abuse
* Uphold a clear message that sexual violence will not be tolerated in our communities.

Competition Information

Hi there, we’re so excited you’re here, and that you’ve joined us for this powerfully creative event!

We know that art has an ability to evoke emotions and feelings that words alone can’t do justice to. Art is a way for people to communicate important social messages, it brings people together and on an individual level it can be a safe way to share our story and feel heard.

In 2024, we invite those who have experienced sexual assault, their families, friends, advocates and our community to participate in this event, to raise the collective voices and submit a wearable art piece. Using items of clothing as your canvas, we invite you to write, draw, sew, paint, graffiti , etc; your artwork to your interpretation of the theme Our Voices.

Artwork is to be submitted in person or via post along with a registration form – if you’re entering the competition.

We can’t wait to receive the incredibly creative submissions of all shapes, colours and sizes.

For any further information or questions, please contact us on 4091 4036, email art@tsas.org.au or contact us via Facebook or Instagram.

Okay, my artwork is ready, how do I submit?
