About Us

Our Vision

For all individuals and communities to thrive in consent culture, free from sexual abuse and sexual violence.

For survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence to be believed, supported and empowered throughout their journey of healing and recovery.

For our community to uphold the principles of rights, justice, equity and safety for all.

Our Values

Our History

TSAS began its journey of support as part of the Women’s Centre in Atherton.  In the early 1990’s TSAS relocated and evolved into a standalone service named the Tablelands Rape and Incest Crisis Centre Incorporated (TRICC Inc). It was initially funded by QLD Health to provide counselling to women over the age of 15-years-old and community education. Since then, TSAS has moved to operate under the business name of Tablelands Sexual Assault Service, expanding services to include all gender and age groups.

Our Team

Our specialist practitioners all hold tertiary qualifications in either Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or Human Services and have experience in providing trauma informed therapeutic and support services.

As an incorporated association, TSAS is governed by a management committee made up of interested and committed community members who generously donate their time and expertise to oversee good governance and management practices of the organisation.
